Our Veterinary Services

Vaccinations and Well-Care:  We believe preventive medicine is of the up most importance!  We abide by the AAHA and AAFP guidelines for vaccine recommendations for all pets. The examination by the Doctor is as the most important part of your pet's visit.  In fact, routine core vaccines are included in the the exam cost.  Our caring staff takes time to go over routine at home care to help you care for your pet and help us provide optimum health. 

Surgical Services:  Our surgical suite provides for the performance of a wide variety of surgical procedures.  We are equipped to do advanced orthopedics including TPLO, TTA, extra-capsular cruciate surgeries. As well as other orthopedic procedures like bone plating, bone pinning, OCD surgery, patellar luxation repair, and complicated soft tissue surgery.  We also offer Electro-Cautery surgery to increase the comfort post-operatively for your pet during routine spays, neuters and declaws, and other non-orthopedic surgeries.

In-House Clinic Laboratory Services: Our HM5 and VetScanII machines allow us to run your pet's bloodwork panels directly in house.  Internal blood chemistry and CBC results can be read by the doctor within a half an hour! We will recommend bloodwork panels before surgical procedures, general baseline panels, and for senior check ups.  Our services range from serum chemistries, hematology, serology, urinalysis, microbiology and parasite testings. We also utilize off-site veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.

Anesthesia:  We utilize the safest available anesthetics including Isoflurane inhalent to provide extra margin of safety, especially for our older or higher risk patients. Using the most modern equipment, the patient's vital signs are monitored during all anesthetic procedures.  The Certified Veterinary Technician's on staff have advanced training to assure the safety of your pet during anesthetic procedures.

Imaging Services/ Ultrasound:  Our on-site, digital X-ray equipment provides high quality radiographs to aid in the diagnosis of many disorders.  We also have 2 ULTRASOUND imaging machines that we can use for urinary tract disorders, reproduction, abdominal scans, cardiology and more.  Dr. Candace has received advanced training and are available most days to perform these if needed.

Class IV Therapy LASER:  We LOVE our Class 4 THERAPY LASER!  It is a non-invasive approach to treat many conditions like: osteoarthritis, wounds, ear infections, trauma and swelling, post-op reduction in swelling, and to speed healing of any tissue.  There are single treatment, 6-pack treatment, and year-long treatment protocols.  Ask us for more information!

Electrocardiography Services:  We provide ECG services on-site as well as consultations with cardiology specialists (at our clinics!)

Dentistry:  Our dental services include teeth cleaning and polishing, dental X-rays, tooth extractions, and oral surgery. We utilize a 10 step approach to sedation dental care recommended by Veterinary Dental Specialists.  Routinely we promote teeth brushing and daily dental care during yearly health visits.

Pharmacy:  We maintain a complete inventory of pharmaceuticals, shampoos, ear cleansers, and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your pet.

Nutrition Consultation:  We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance, performance, allergies, medical conditions, and specific individualized dietary issues.

Behavioral Counseling:  We can provide advice regarding the correction or management of problems such as excessive barking, separation anxiety, thunderstorm phobia, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression.

Emergency Care:  We provide emergency services during our regular business hours.
